Demulsifiers, also known as emulsion breakers, are chemicals used in crude oil processing to separate water and oil emulsions. In crude oil production, emulsions form when water becomes trapped in oil, which can cause processing difficulties and inefficiencies in refining. Demulsifiers work by destabilizing the emulsion, allowing the water to separate from the oil more easily.
This product is a reverse emulsifier, a composite polymer water treatment agent characterized by numerous positively charged groups along its molecular chain. It is a highly effective cationic polymer. With its powerful reverse emulsification capability, it can significantly lower the interfacial tension of oil-in-water (W/O) or water-in-oil (O/W) emulsions. This process destabilizes the emulsions by neutralizing the repulsive and attractive forces of oils or colloidal particles in wastewater, resulting in the formation of flocs. Through further chemical bridging, it facilitates the separation of oil and water, as well as the removal of harmful impurities in the wastewater, achieving the goals of oil recovery and wastewater purification. The emulsifier is highly effective in breaking water-in-oil emulsions, reducing oil-water separation time, and is water-soluble and effective across a broad pH range.
Parameter | Specification |
---|---|
Appearance | Orange-yellow liquid |
Solid Content (%) | ≥40 |
pH Value | 2-4 |
Add the product directly to the wastewater either in its original form or diluted, then stir and allow it to settle. For optimal results, use in conjunction with PAC and PAM. The ideal pH range for application is 5-12, with pronounced demulsification and flocculation effects around pH=9. The dosing point is typically selected in the rapid mixing tank of the sewage treatment process. The dosage varies depending on the type of wastewater, generally ranging from 50-1000ppm.
